Hur många ungdomar blir utbytesstudenter varje år?
Jag har själv försökt att ta reda på det. Efter lite research fick jag av en organisation en uppskattad siffra till ca. 900 utbytesstudenter / år. Jag är dock osäker på om den siffran stämmer.
Varför tror du att så många drar sig för att bli utbytesstudenter? Myter/rädslor mm?
Jag tror att de flesta tycker det är för dyrt. Ett år som utbytesstudent kostar ungefär mellan 50 - 60 000kr beroende på var du åker.
Det många ungdomar/föräldrar inte tänker på är kostnaden för att ha sin son/dotter hemma ett år. (Kostnaden för mat, internet, mobil, tandläkaren, resor, boende, nöjespengar m.m.) Tar man den summan minus utbytesstudent-kostnaden blir det inte så farligt.
Den andra stora anledningen till att ungdomar inte åker som utbytesstudent är att de blir tvungna att gå om ett år. (Året som utbytesstudent tillgodoräknas ej) Det finns ett alternativ som är att gå på en “svensk skola” i utlandet. Jag vet att det finns en mycket populär skola i London.
